Camila Cabello just covered one of Olivia Rodrigo’s most popular songs, and it’s the “cover you didn’t know you needed.”
The Cinderella actress performed Rodrigo’s “good 4 u” on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, along with her latest single “Don’t Go Yet.” BBC Radio 1 shared a clip of Cabello’s rendition of “good 4 u” on Tuesday morning (September 7), hailing it “the Live Lounge cover you didn’t know you needed.”
Rodrigo spring-boarded from her Disney days into a massive pop career when she released her first full-length LP, Sour, in spring. The pop-punk breakup anthem “good 4 u” — which includes Paramore’s frontwoman Hayley Williams and former guitarist Josh Farro in the writing credits — became one of her biggest hits.
Cabello has been busy working on music of her own. The “Havana” singer launched into a new era of her career with her new song “Don’t Go Yet,” which released earlier this summer. It follows her 2019 album Romance, which included another of her most popular songs, “Señorita,” a collaboration with her boyfriend and fellow pop star Shawn Mendes.
