Millions of jobless Americans lost their unemployment benefits yesterday, leaving only a handful of economic support programs for those who are still being hit financially by the year-and-half-old Coronavirus Pandemic. Two critical programs expired Monday, one provided jobless aid to self-employed workers and another provided benefits to those who have been unemployed more than six months. Further, the Biden Administrations $300 weekly supplemental unemployment benefit also ran out yesterday. It's estimated that nearly nine million Americans will lose all or some of those benefits. Ohio and many other states had already ended the $300 weekly supplement......Governor Mike DeWine ended those Federal payments in late June.
