Scioto Society Announces Mask Requirement for Haunted Mountain

The Haunted Mountain experience returns to Sugarloaf Mountain Amphitheater this fall.

The Scioto Society, the group that heads up the attraction, announced Tuesday that this year’s Haunted Mountain will require masks.

Scioto Society CEO Brandon Smith, in a release, wrote that in light of the continued spread of COVID in our area, and in consultation with the local health district, the Scioto Society will be requiring guests at Haunted Mountain to wear masks throughout the facility this fall. The requirement also comes after the recent plea from area hospitals for residents to get the vaccine.

Smith said this means anywhere that patrons are not seated for the show, or in the restaurant area. The masks though will be allowed to be removed once seated for the show, or seated in the restaurant for a drink or meal.

Tickets to this year’s Haunted Mountain are available online at hauntedmountain.org
