A Dayton man is in custody in Scioto County after a traffic stop resulted in the discovery of weapons and drugs in his vehicle. 23-year-old Taylor J. Dennis was pulled over on a traffic stop by Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers on U.S. 23 last week. During the stop, troopers detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the car found two loaded handguns as well as drugs. Dennis was taken to the Scioto County Jail and charged with trafficking in drugs, a first-degree felony and possession in drugs, first-degree and second-degree felonies. If convicted, he could face up to 30 years in prison and up to a $55,000 fine.
