A water boil advisory is in effect for residents along Chillicothe's Watt and East Seventh streets, and residents of Eastern Avenue for the next 48 hours. The advisory was issued Tuesday afternoon and will continue through 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Utilities Director David Fishel says the advisory is the result of a water outage and subsequent main repair on Watt Street between East Seventh Street and Eastern Avenue. The affected area also includes Glencroft Avenue, Liberty Street, King Street and Steele Street.
Residents in these areas are encouraged to boil their drinking water for a least one-minute prior to consumption.
