School vaccination law

A new state law banning public schools from requiring vaccinations is now in effect. On Wednesday, restrictions laid out in House Bill 244 became law, meaning public school districts cannot require vaccinations unless the vaccine has full authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The law also prohibits discriminating against individuals for sports or other school activities based on vaccination status. Governor DeWine signed the Bill last July, one month before the FDA fully approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for those age 16 and older.
