Body cameras for OSHP Troopers

Governor DeWine says the state is preparing to equip Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers with body cameras. On Tuesday, the Governor and OSHP Superintendent Colonel Richard Fambro said the state is purchasing 15-hundred new body cameras and 12-hundred new in-car systems. Colonel Fambro said the cameras will help protect troopers, aid in crime and accident scene documentation, and support public transparency. The new cameras should be in use by next May and will link to the in-car systems and turn on automatically when lights and sirens are activated.
