Red Cross Volunteers from Ohio Heading to Help with Tornado Disaster Relief

Volunteers from the Ohio Red Cross are preparing to help victims of tornadoes. Maria Salkowski with the Central Ohio Red Cross said yesterday that volunteers are loading trucks with emergency relief supplies for tornado victims in Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, Illinois, and Tennessee.

Salkowski says the Red Cross will provide physical and mental health assistance before moving on to long-term recovery help.

The organization says it needs more volunteers for efforts abroad and in Ohio, and those interested can find more information online at RedCross.org.
