Council president responds to website allegations

During the public address section of Monday evening's Chillicothe Council meeting, a story from a local internet website detailing what are descibed as ethics violations, were brought to the attention of, and directed at, council president Bruce Arnold. Arnold did not respond in council, and when asked afterward about the lack of specific accusations in the story, he responded "Exactly, exactly...I don't feel that there's any response needed from me at this point". In his final session as council president, Arnold read a statement about council being transparent, especially with the online broadcasts and posting of agendas and schedules. He also pointed out the standard procedure for council actions, and that sometimes it needs to be accelerated to match the speed of business. In an interview afterward, Arnold also mentioned that council passed 110 items of legislation in 2021, and that two significant unfinished issues he could think of were livestock in city, and rewriting water department regulations
