A Columbus man is in jail after allegedly ramming a Circleville police cruiser. Police say 34-year-old Peter T. Hayes took off from a gas station parking lot after officers spotted drug paraphernalia and then struck a police vehicle twice while fleeing. After removing Hayes from the vehicle, police seized a handgun and an estimated 53-thousand-dollars worth of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and DMT. Hayes is being held at Pickaway County Jail on multiple drug and weapons charges.
