Monday's Chillicothe Council Preview: IT expenses, Auction, Pay Rates, More

Chillicothe Council meets in regular session 7pm Monday with 11 items in their agenda.

Among them are first-reading proposed ordinances:

  • to support the Chillicothe Fire Department’s intent to purchase self-contained breathing apparatus equipment
  • to appropriate more than $28,000 for Chillicothe Municipal Court computer IT expenses
  • to authorize auction of miscellaneous obsolete or unfit items, including city-owned vehicles and equipment
  • and to establishing pay rates and benefits for classified, non-classified, and management level employees of the city.

LEGISLATION

1. SECOND READING:

A Resolution granting use of a certain portion of Second Street to The Buck Fifty, Inc. from April 21, 2022 through April 23, 2022, for its annual Buck Fifty Relay Race.

2. FIRST READING:

An Ordinance amending Section 351.13 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Chillicothe, Ohio.

3. FIRST READING:

An Ordinance allowing a covered entry at 14-16 East Second Street to encroach onto the sidewalk and City right-of-way and relocating a street light and sign at the property owner’s expense.

4. FIRST READING:

An Ordinance appropriating $95,000.00 to cover supply chain surcharges on capital items that were included in the 2021 and 2022 budgets and declaring an emergency.

5. FIRST READING:

An Ordinance supporting the Chillicothe Fire Department’s intent to enter into a lease agreement with Republic First National to finance the purchase of self-contained breathing apparatus equipment and declaring an emergency.

6. FIRST READING:

An Ordinance accepting and appropriating $5,001.00 received as payoff of a CHIP Mortgage and declaring an emergency.

7. FIRST READING:

An Ordinance appropriating $24,143.00 in insurance funds received as security as the result of a structure fire at 818 Saint Margaret Road, Chillicothe, Ohio, and declaring an emergency.

8. FIRST READING:

An Ordinance accepting and appropriating $3,381.00 in forfeiture of Contraband Funds and declaring an emergency.

9. FIRST READING:

An Ordinance appropriating $28,350.00 for Chillicothe Municipal Court computer I.T. expenses and declaring an emergency.

10. FIRST READING:

An Ordinance authorizing the auction of miscellaneous items, including city owned vehicles and equipment which are not needed for public use or are obsolete or unfit for the use for which they were acquired, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 721.15, and declaring an emergency.

11. FIRST READING:

An Ordinance establishing rates of pay and other economic benefits for classified, non-classified, and management level employees of the city of Chillicothe, Ohio and declaring an emergency
