New Boston man charged

Scioto County authorities have a New Boston man in custody, charged with attempting to meet underage children. Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman says his office was contacted through email from a non-law enforcement group, about the man, 54-year-old Randolph Victor Hockenmeier. During the follow-up investigation, Hockenmeier was found to have engaged in on-line conversations with what he believed to be underage children, with the chats being sexual in nature, and Hockenmeier sent inappropriate pictures. Hockenmeier arranged a meeting at Walmart, and was confronted at the store by members of the group who sent the initial email. Detectives responded to Hockenmeiers home, and seized electronic items and obtained a search warrant for these items. Hockenmeier was arrested as a result of this investigation. More charges against Hockenmeier are likely.
