Fire damages home

A fire damaged a home on Bishop Hill Drive in Chillicothe Tuesday. Neighbor Bruce Caplinger tells iHeartradio news he and his wife heard a loud bang coming from the home next door to theirs while they were eating lunch, and he went to investigate. Caplinger says he saw smoke and flames coming from the home and 9-1-1 was called. The occupants of the home at 387 Bishop Hill were able to get out of the house. Caplingers wife, Becky, went into the home to make sure everyone was out, and to rescue two of the four dogs inside. Becky Caplinger was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center where she was treated for smoke inhalation and is reported to be doing o-k. The cause of fire remains under investigation. It's reported to be the second fire a member of the residents family has experienced in the last two months. (((Photo courtesy of Bruce Caplinger))
