A lawsuit filed by a Holmes County man says he has suffered hearing loss after a cockroach crawled into his ear. Todd Vansickle of Glenmont argues that Sands Ocean Club Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was negligent by not taking steps to remove the insects prior to the incident in July of last year. The complaint states a cockroach entered VanSickle's ear while he was sleeping at the property, causing severe pain and hearing loss, and leading to medical expenses. He is suing for unspecified damages and continued pain and discomfort.
