Chillicothe Navy veterans remains ID

A Chillicothe man's remains have been identfied, after he died in the attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II. 10TV in Columbus reports that the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced Tuesday that Navy Musician 1st Class Joseph W Hoffman's remains were identified by scientists using anthropological analysis. Hoffman was on board the USS Oklahoma, which after being attacked by Japanese aircraft quickly capsized on December 7, 1941. Hoffman's remains were accounted for on Sept. 8, 2020. The attack on the ship killed 429 crewmen, including Hoffman.
