Bank Robbery Suspects caught

Four people are now custody, that for their alleged roles in a rash of bank robberies in the last few weeks, including one here in Chillicothe. Two Lancaster men reported to have played the key roles in a number of bank robberies in numerous Ohio communities, including the Wednesday heist at the PNC Bank in Chillicothe, were arrested Thursday. 23-year-old Travis Mettler and 28-year-old James Jones are in the Fairfield County Jail. The two men worked together to stage the robberies in Canal Winchester, Newark, as well as in Zanesville. Fairfield County Sheriffs Deputies identified one of the two leaving an apartment in Lancaster yesterday and arrested him, the other of the two was later taken into custody. Two females were arrested as part of the robbery spree as well, 26-year-old Abigail Morrison from Chillicothe, and 24-year-old Lindsay Williams of Lancaster. They were allegedly part of prior robberies the four committed at banks in Newark and in Zanesville. Morrison and Williams are also housed in the Fairfield County Jail.
