Polls are open across Ohio for voting in today's state primary election. Voters can cast ballots up until 7:30 tonight. Races for Democrat and Republican nominees for Ohio governor and the U.S. senate are topping tickets. State senator and representative contests will not appear on ballots as a legal battle over Ohio's district maps is still unresolved. Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose says early voting in this year's primary is topping records set in 2018. His office has announced more than three-hundred-thousand ballots were requested, with over two-hundred-63-thousand votes cast. The 2018 election saw over three-thousand fewer voters participate prior to election day. Early voting opened on April 5th.
