The search for a missing 28-year-old Ross County woman came to a tragic end this week as her remains were discovered at an abandoned campsite, southwest of Chillicothe. 28-year-old Lindsey Schobelock was reported missing in late February of this year, and her remains were located early this week at an abandoned campsite in a wooded area off the 12-hundred block of Chester Hill Road. The Ross County Sheriff's Office was informed of the campsite by hunters who deemed it suspicious, and Schobelock's remains were soon discovered by deputies and Ross County Search and Rescue. Schobelock went missing on February 24th and her vehicle was located not long after on Windy Ridge Road, not all that far from where her remains were discovered. Schobelock was last seen in Chillicothe the night prior to her disappearance.The manner of Schobelock's death has not been announced and the case remains under investigation.
