Saturday Events: Garden Tour, Celebrating Artists of Color, Recycling

As the summer season continues to build, several events are happening this Saturday, June 4th, 2022.

One event is the "Historical 2022 Chillicothe Hope Clinic Garden Tour" where you can visit the gardens of eight historical homes in town.

It's 11am to 3pm this Saturday, rain or shine. Tickets may be purchased online through Eventbrite and at "Julie’s on Paint" in Chillicothe.

Another event is the June show and series of events at the Pump House, "Celebrating Artists of Color." The gallery opening is 2:30 to 4:30 Saturday when you can meet the artists.

But activities begin at 11:30, with Cheryl's House of Hope food truck for lunch.

From noon to 2pm is Hip Hop dance instruction at the nearby AmVets shelter house. A $5 entry fee includes pizza.

The "High Praise Community Choir" starts singing about 2pm.

And if you need to get rid of recyclables, Saturday is also "Ross County Tire & Electronic Recycling Day" at the Ross County Fairgrounds, from 8am to noon.

It's first come-first served for residential items. There are fees for television, flatscreens, and tires to help the Ross Pickaway Highland Fayette Solid Waste District.
