Southeast Ohio History Center Recognizes Local People and Groups

A regional center for history visited Chillicothe and congratulated several groups and individuals.

The Southeast Ohio History Center based in Athens has worked to reach beyond their original identity as the Athens County Historical Society. This year their annual meeting was at Adena Mansion and Gardens at Chillicothe, Saturday, June 4th, 2022.

The Center handed out recognition awards for local historical and preservation groups and individuals. Director of Development & Outreach, and Director Emeritus Tom O’Grady said they are a small organization, but can help and support others with their limited resources. They can congratulate them, and also learn from the recipients.

Among the recipients were:
