OHSAA football computer rankings

As the high school football regular season reaches the halfway point this Friday night, the OHSAA has released the first computer rankings of the season. The rankings determine which teams qualify for the playoffs that start October 28th. From our area, Chillicothe is ranked third in Division III, Region 11, with Bloom-Carroll fourth, Washington Court House eighth, Jackson ninth, and Circleville eleventh. In Division IV, Region 15, Logan Elm is sixth. In Region 16, Unioto is second, McClain is sixth, and Waverly is twelfth. Division V, Ironton is first in Region 19, with Minford seventh. Zane Trace is ranked first in Region 20 of Division V. The top 16 teams per region qualify for the playoffs, with the top eight seeds hosting first round games, and if they win, a second round game as well.
