Plane Crash in Marietta Killed Two

Authorities say a retired Columbus firefighter is one of the two men killed in a Marietta plane crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that 49-year-old Timothy Gifford was onboard the small, twin-engine plane when it went down at an auto dealership parking lot just after 7:00 a.m. Monday.

Forty-five-year-old Eric Seevers of Parkersburg is the other individual who died in the accident.

Columbus fire officials have confirmed that Gifford retired from the division in May.
