Winter Weather Likely To Cause Holiday Travel Challenges In Central Ohio

The frigid blast of winter weather later this week is likely to cause issues for central Ohio travelers.

Sarah McQuaide with John Glenn Columbus International says airport officials are ready to have snow and ice removal teams in place as travel, and weather challenges, are expected to ramp up on Thursday and Friday.

She is advising those flying out of CMH to arrive at least 90 minutes prior to boarding for domestic flights, and to keep a close eye on potential delays and cancellations through their airline.

An estimated 180,000 travelers are expected to depart from John Glenn International this week, around three percent more than last year.
