Winter Weather Advisory: Snow and High Winds Thursday Night and Friday

A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 7pm Thursday to 1pm Friday.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a combination of snow and high winds. They're anticipating snowfall of around one to two inches by Friday afternoon. Drivers should be cautious of slippery road conditions that could impact morning and evening travel.

A Wind Chill Watch will also be in effect from late Thursday night through Friday afternoon. The national weather service says dangerously cold wind chills will be possible with chills as low as 30 below for our region. That's affecting portions southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and south central, central and southwestern Ohio.

It'll be cold as well on Christmas eve and Christmas night as well with single-digit lows expected. Afternoon highs over the weekend will be in the middle teens/low 20s.

Temperatures are expected to begin creeping back up into the 30s around the beginning of next week.
