Chillicothe Christmas Tree Collection Begins Jan. 3rd

Christmas Tree Pickup Service for Chillicothe residents will begin on Tuesday, January 3rd. Trees will be picked up on the same day that a neighborhood’s trash is collected. The service will continue through January 31st.

The service is only for live trees, artificial trees are not allowed. The trees must have all the decorations and stands removed or they won’t be collected. Residents are asked to place their trees in front of their residence while not blocking streets or sidewalks.

Residents can also drop their trees off at the Yoctangee Park Annex. That site is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The trees collected by the city will again be repurposed as fish and wildlife habitats through a partnership with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
