One Dead, Three Injured in Greene County Crash Along Interstate 71

One person is dead as the result of a three-vehicle crash in Greene County.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash took place shortly before 9:00 a.m. Thursday along Interstate 71 in Greene County’s Jefferson Township.

The Patrol reports a semi-truck had been traveling southbound along I-71, near milepost 60, when the rig collided with the rear of a Honda Civic operated by 40-year-old Tiffany J. Miller of Marion. The impact pushed Miller’s Honda into the rear of another semi that had been traveling ahead of her.

Miller sustained serious injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The drivers of the two involved rigs sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene. A juvenile passenger in the rig that collided with the rear of Miller’s Honda, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was flown to an area hospital.
