A Circleville man died in a one-vehicle crash in Fayette County about 9:30pm Monday, on Old US 35 east of Washington Court House.
The Wilmington Post of the Highway Patrol reports that 26-year-old Zachary S. Wallace of Circleville was eastbound in a 2004 Chevrolet 2500 Silverado, with 21-year-old passenger Elijah Lyons of Washington Court House.
Wallace failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the left side of the roadway, striking two traffic signs...and a tree head-on.
Wallace was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office. Lyons was transported by family to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
