Portsmouth Man Charged Following Fatal ATV Crash in Late March

A Scioto County man is now facing charges following a fatal ATV crash the claimed the life of a 7-year-old boy late last month.

42-year-old Jeremy Bryant is accused of operating an ATV while under the influence and crashing the vehicle at Doctor Singleton Park in West Portsmouth on Sunday, March 26th.

Bryant had been operating the ATV when it struck a wire and threw him and his 7-year-old juvenile passenger, Wyatt Moore, off the vehicle. Moore was taken to Nationwide Children’s hospital in Columbus where he succumbed to his injuries. Bryant was transported to Grant Medical in Columbus for treatment of his injuries.

Bryant has since been arrested on charges of first-degree felony involuntary manslaughter and a third-degree felony operating a motor vehicle while under the influence.
