The Jackson Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle injury crash which occurred on Sour Run Road (CR 28) near Valentine Road (TR 739) in Jackson County. The crash occurred on April 21, 2023 at approximately 2:40 p.m.
Wilbur Hale, age 77, of Ray, Ohio, was operating tan 2010 Ford Taurus. Also inside the vehicle was front seat passenger Susie Hale, of Ray, Ohio. Mr. Hale was traveling northeast on Sour Run Rd. when the vehicle traveled across the center line, off the left side of the roadway and struck a ditch. The vehicle then overturned, coming to rest on its top.
Mrs. Hale sustained serious injury and was transported to the Holzer Medical Center of Jackson via Jackson County E.M.S. Sour Run Road was close for approximately one hour to clear scene and medical transport.
Jackson Post units were assisted on the scene by the Jackson County EMS, Coalton Fire Department, and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. The crash remains under investigation.
