One of two escaped inmates from the STAR Community Justice Center in Franklin Furnace is back in custody, while the other remains on the run.
According to the Portsmouth Post of the Highway Patrol, the escape occurred shortly before 9:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6th.
Inmate Timothy Wesley Moore, 45, of Millfield, was quickly recaptured but inmate Eric Leon Parkins, 42, of Parkersburg, WV, has yet to be located.

Parkins was being held at the at the STAR facility on drug related charges. He is described as having violent tendencies and authorities advise caution to anyone that might come across him. Eric Leon Parkins is reported to weigh 160 lbs. He has blue eyes, brown hair, and stands about 5’8”.

Details on how the two inmates managed their escaped from the justice center have yet to be revealed as the investigation into their escape remains ongoing.
