The second inmate sought by authorities following a southern Ohio justice center escape has been recaptured.
The Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reports Eric L. Parkins, 42, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, was placed back into police custody without incident by officers with the Parkersburg Police Department shortly before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 9th.
Parkins is one of two STAR Community Justice Center inmates to have escaped the facility on Saturday evening. The other escaped inmate, Timothy Wesley Moore, 45, of Millfield, was recaptured shortly after the escape which took place a little before 9:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6th.
Both Parkins and Moore were being held at the STAR Community Justice Center on drug-related charges.
