Brett Eldredge shared a heartfelt message on the eve of his final “GLOW Tour” show.

The country singer-songwriter, nicknamed “Mr. Christmas” for his stunning holiday music, is set to perform the final show on his tour on Friday evening (December 20) in Nashville, Tennessee. Eldredge shared a few black-and-white photos on Instagram on Thursday (December 19) from some of his recent performances. He said every year, at the end of his holiday tour, he hears his father say “and then there was one,” as he counts down to the final show.

Eldredge said “it is pretty insane how many thousands of people we get to play for and the amount of joy, tears, and smiling faces that forever get tethered to my soul from these shows…I am not gonna lie, playing this many shows in the small window of time of the holidays can be extremely intense mentally for me, at times I find myself pacing back stage wondering how can I go up there and do it again night after night…then I put on my tux, pin up the cuff links, throw on the bow tie, drink a hot tea and dance with the band backstage…I feel the spirit of everyone out here on the road giving everything they’ve got whether they are tired, anxious, feeling down, sick etc…it’s a wild ride but when that curtain opens and the horns punch and drums hit, our spirit comes alive…I see your faces light up and my heart races as I step up to the microphone…we ARE alive! What a miracle, what a gift, THIS is why we do this!…to open our hearts and to remember what it feels like to be a kid again…thank you for this gift, thank you for being such incredible fans and supporters…let’s do it one more time Nashville, see you tomorrow.”

Eldredge released his latest holiday album, Merry Christmas (Welcome to the Family), earlier this year. The 8-track collection includes the country star’s latest collaboration with Kelly Clarkson, “Sweet December,” which the duo performed on The Kelly Clarkson Show this week. Eldridge previously released other Christmas projects with his renditions of “Winter Wonderland,” “Silent Night,” “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” and other classics.
