“Shroud of Turin” Exhibits and Presentation in Chillicothe this Weekend

Three opportunities to learn about the famous “Shroud of Turin,” believed to be a burial cloth with an image of the crucified Jesus on it, will be around Chillicothe on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Joe Herlihy said he met the creator of the educational display, Pam McCue, and invited her to bring it to his home area. “Shroud” in Greek is “othonia,” and her website on the Shroud of Turin is othonia.org.

It started with an exhibit on Thursday, April 16th, in the atrium of the PACCAR Medical Education Center near Adena Regional Medical Center at 446 Hospital Road.

The display, derived from the shroud image, included a life-size model of “the man in the shroud,” a crown of thorns, reproduction nails used in crucifixions, and a model of a burial tomb – and more.

On Friday, April 17th, 2026, a presentation starts at 9am in the gym of Bishop Flaget School at 570 Parson Avenue, on the Carlisle Hilltop west of Ohio University Chillicothe.

Then the same exhibit will be at an open house from 1 to 4pm, and then after the 5pm Mass, on Saturday, April 16th, in St. Mary Parish Life Center behind the church at 61 South Paint Street in Chillicothe.
